Bob – Thanks for posting this picture of your uncle in Germany in 1945. It could be either before or after the unconditional surrender in early May. In any case, service there was awful, as it is in all wars. Hats/Helmets off to your uncle on this Veterans Day and to all our veterans who gave so much when it really counted and had to be done despite the terrible cost and horror…!
