A reminder about this months meeting.

German-American Resources for Genealogists

The best information on your ancestors is often found close to home. In this presentation Antje Petty will provide an overview of frequently overlooked resources from German-American communities that can yield important clues for family historians researching their German-speaking ancestors. She will also suggest strategies on how to prioritize, interpret and read these documents.

Antje Petty is the Assistant Director of the Max Kade Institute for German-American Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an interdisciplinary institute for research and outreach on German immigration to America. Antje shares the resources of the Institute with the community through talks, lectures and workshops. She has done extensive genealogical research on German-speaking immigrant families.

THIS IS A NEW DAY AND TIME:

This months meeting is November 12, Saturday, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4505 Regent, Madison, WI at 11:00 am.

Hope to see you there.
