Association of Professional Genealogists Conference
In a couple days I am going to the APG Professional Management conference held in Salt Lake City. Hoping that it is very interesting and a great learning experience. Some very good speakers and topics. Shall bring info back to better serve my clients.
Happy New Year!
May the new year bring you happiness. Also don’t forget to keep your resolutions like researching your family tree.

In 1908 my Grandpa August H. Rettammel, Sr. lost his first wife, had two young daughters and moved to Lyndon Station to be closer to his father and brother. My grandma Ernestina Wendland was born in Lyndon Station and soon would meet my grandpa and marry him in August 1909 at the Lutheran church in Lyndon Station.
Remembering Grandparents
Including other photos in family history
Marzipans
Not sure whether I have had traditional German marzipan but seeing pictures of figures made of marzipan, like Brandenburg Gate would be fun. Eating is something I don’t care for.
Days of Vital Records
Spending days collecting vital records for a client.
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. May your day be full of joy and memories of traditions from the past, along with new traditions begun by you.
My two favorite topics
Took this today at the Milwaukee Public Library. I gave a lecture called “Finding the Old Country: The German Connection”.
