Last Saturday the Dane County Area Genealogical Society meeting was a program where members could display their Genealogy. I brought two items, information on my Maternal Great-Grandmother immigration through Ellis Island in 1901(which I collected in 2011); secondly information from a German Genealogist firm called Beyond History in 2013 that helped locate information on my Paternal Great-Grandmother, German church records in 1840-1850s.

My grandpa Orville P. Maas – bottom left (circled). Should you know the other people, please reach to me. I love old pictures. I wonder what happened to my grandpa’s classmates?

Season to think about your family history and others

Now that Thanksgiving has just finished, we have Christmas and other holidays coming up soon. As you gather with family, friends and love ones make an effort to learn something new about them or their own traditions of celebration. What brings us together? It may be different for each person if we listen carefully. Happy Holidays!
